Rural Schools in Sri Lanka are still largely underdeveloped with severe lack of access to resources and economic development.

This project will be based in rural villages in the Nuwara Eliya district or in the surrounding areas of Dambulla, in the Central Matale District. The students will get the chance to stay at the heart of the community, immerse themselves in local life and authentic cultural exchange through traditional cooking classes, interact with local kids, and teaching English.

There are many ways in which your school can engage in the Sri Lanka Rural School Development and activities. Your students can decide to undertake from small to large scale project as below:

• Educational support (Teach English, provide stationery and school equipment)
• Infrastructure Improvement (fix a kindergarten classroom, renovate classrooms, install a water tank)
• Health and hygiene (pass on knowledge & provide basic necessities)
